Politics Term Papers

Definition:
In simple terms, ‘Politics’ can be defined as social relations having authority, preeminence or supremacy involved. The word ‘Politics’ is derived ‘Polis’ which refers to the state of a city. Generally, the term ‘politics’ is functional for a relationship maintained between nations and their governments. Besides this, politics is observed in every aspect of human nature. It can be academic behavior, religious behavior and so forth.

Politics as a Natural State
Hobbes described an ideal state in which every person has equal right to every resource in nature and was free to use any means to acquire these resources. He claimed that such a system created a “war of all against all.” Further, he noted that men would enter into a social contract and would renounce supreme rights for definite protections. Hobbes made a next claim that the resolution to the hostility problem was a centralized demanding state, which he called Leviathan. At the same time as it appears that social cooperation and supremacy hierarchies forego human societies, Hobbes’s model illustrates an underlying principle for the creation of societies (polities).
