Types Of Interest
There are two types of interest:
- Simple rate of interest
- Compound rate of interest.
For calculating the interest rates for different time periods one should add the principal amount with the time period of holding money and the rate of interest to be charged. The simple rate of interest is the linear way of expressing interest rate. It has no too much calculations and complexities. The compound rate of interest is the periodical changes in the time periods and the rate changes time after time for example if some one is going to calculate the interest rate for five years by compounding method each year changes in the interest rate takes place because the amount of one period interest rate will be the principal amount for next year so that the compounding will be continued till the end of the year. Moreover interest rates have two more subdivisions that are:
- Fixed: It is the rate of interest to be fixed for every specific period.
- Variable: It will be change with time after time or by the changes in periods.
Risk And Interest
Interest rate must involves the risk for future management there is the uncertainty prevails in the markets so no future conditions are predictable before time it is to say that More rate of interest involves more risk is right to very large extent, if the business involves too much widening of activities or its financial limits are too wide too much complexities involves in it. so when some one talk about interest rate one should take about the risk involve in it because future conditions are unpredictable for every one can get profit or loss on holding the security for example some one has the security of its current price too high right now may be it will be low in future interest involves three.
Types Of Risks
Credit risk
It is the risk involve in holding the bank loans if you are unable to pay them time your firm will be bankrupt and the payment pay on it.
Maturity risk
There is a risk involve in the maturity of the security one should not predict the future risk involve in long term investments.
Liquidity risk
There is a liquidity risk involve in the money transactions because of the illiquidity of it.
Thus the interest rate where ever present involves the risk no any transaction in business to which one say that it is out of risk , because nobody has control over the future transactions in business everybody has to rum its business or current basis that’s why the uncertainty remains exist with the future markets .no one can predict there earnings on different securities in future because there values changes with the changes in market conditions so the interest rate where beneficial to some extent also have losses to be incurred in future so the interest rate it self is unpredictable.
